My name is Fernando Saldaña. I´m 18 years old. Im studying ITE which is kind of Computer Engineering in other countries. Since i was a kid i´ve love mathematics, i always dreamed about studying a degree on them but as i grew up an interest in technology appeared. Since junior high i thought i was going to pick Sistemas Computacionales (kind of computer science) until the end of high school where i start to really look the topics that are covered in the degrees. At the end i went for ITE because it´s kind of a combination between Software, Hardware and Firmware, and im interested in all of them. Also ITE involves more mathematics and as i say, i like them a lot. I still keep the dream about studying in the future something in the path of cryptography combined with technology, but as i move on i realize there are tons of other very much interesting paths in the field.

I like a lot programming, i´ve learned by  myself for sometime, i started with some books from my high school library and then watched some videos from OpenCourseWare from MIT. These are awesome videos from a top school, anyone can see them, and are completely free; plus there are videos about a lot of topics.

If i decide in the future to keep studying a Master or something even higher, i´ll go for something like Cryptograohy, AI or related fields. Paths involved in maths, coding, firmware. I love all that.

My two heroes are my parents. I really appreciate everything they´ve done for me and my brothers. No thanks are enough, i have to try my best to give them back everything they´ve gave my, times 10.

When i was in junior high i played guitar with my friends in school concerts, but when i went to high school i left it. All my life i´ve done excercise. Since i´m a little boy i´ve played football. I played the three years of my High School football and i enjoyed every single moment. I’ve never liked videogames at all, which is something i´ve seen i have not in common with my colleagues of career.

I don´t really read a lot, but i can read the stories of Sherlock Holmes a thousand times without getting bored. So i´ll say my favorite author is Sir. Arthur Conan Doyle.
